FUNCTIONS

The functions of the JMF are confined to Johor’s royal ceremonies and events. The principal duty of the JMF is to ensure the security and wellbeing of HRH the Sultan, HRH the Crown Prince, Immediate Members of the Royal Family and their guests. Other duties include guarding the four royal palaces, providing support services in the management of the palaces and assisting in the organising and managing activities of the palaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

JMF is responsible for royal ceremonies and events and mounting the guard of honour at the coronation, birthday ceremonies and the opening session of the State Legislative Assembly. The JMF performs vigil guard duties and acts as pallbearers at the funerals of Johor royalty.
