The JMF provides support services to the Main Organising Committee that manages royal weddings. Duties of the JMF include guarding the marquees and structures, assisting the arrival of dignitaries, and guarding the main entrances to the palace ground.

The JMF band is in attendance at the dinner reception.

Six officers participated in presenting the Arch of Swords during the wedding reception (Sitting-in State) of HRH Crown Prince Tunku Ismail on November 8, 2014 at the Grand Palace.
