The emblem of the JMF is an elliptical badge in yellow with a shield in the centre encircled by a garter and topped by a crown. The writing in the Jawi script, “Timbalan Setia Negeri”, is engraved at the top of the garter, and a wreath laurel of pepper and gambier leaves adorn the lower half. A crossed sword and kris adorn the centre of the shield, reflecting Sultan Abu Bakar, symbolised by the crown, who practised Eastern (kris) and Western (sword) ideas and values for his administration.

Crown

Symbolizes the Sultan as the patron of the Royal Johor Military Force (JMF).

Deputy State Secretary (Jawi)

Signifies the meaning of the JMF unit.

Keris & Pedang (Dagger & Sword)

The keris represents the East, while the sword symbolizes the West. This intersection signifies strength from the East to the West.

Shield

Symbolizes the defense and protection of Johor from external threats.

Gambir & Black Pepper

Represents the Sultan as the patron of JMF, as well as the main economic resources of Johor.
