It is my pleasure to pen a few words for this Portal.

Established 130 years ago on 11 May 1885 as the first armed forces in Malaya, the Johor Military Forces remains relevant in modern times. It is an institution that provides not only military training but also character-building, discipline, loyalty and integrity. The JMF is the birthplace of many capable leaders in politics and administration of Johor and Malaysia.

This Portal is to be used as a reference for my people, the Bangsa Johor, for a deeper understanding of the functions and responsibilities of the JMF to the Sovereign and their contribution to the progress and development of Johor. A better comprehension of the glorious history of Johor is the foundation of a brighter future for my people.

It is my hope this better understanding of the history, contributions and sacrifices of the JMF will result in enhanced loyalty and patriotism to the state necessary to ensure progress and continued stability, peace and harmony of my people.
