Greetings.

My heartiest appreciation and gratitude to the Johor State government and the Director of the Science, Technology and ICT Unit of the State Secretariat for developing this JMF Portal.

I personally wanted this Portal to be an educational media for the people of Johor to fully understand the glorious history of the iconic JMF from its humble beginning with 60 men to its present status as a modern and elite army consisting of disciplined men of integrity necessary in the modern world of technology.

This Portal provides details on the role and responsibilities of the JMF not only to provide security coverage to the Johor Sultanate and perform ceremonial duties but also to enhance loyalty and instil leadership with discipline, integrity and commitment. As proof, at least four Chief Ministers of Johor and a Prime Minister of Malaysia had started their careers with the JMF.

It is my fervent hope that the understanding of the history and the appreciation of the sacrifices and contributions of the JMF in the security and progress of Johor will enhance the close relationship between the people and the JMF. It is also my hope that more youths will be attracted to join the JMF as proof of their loyalty to the ruler and the sovereignty of the state.
