JMF Elite
Introduction
The Elite Unit was established on July 7, 2008, under the leadership of HRH Tunku Ismail Ibrahim Ibni Sultan Ibrahim. At that time, His Highness held the position of Officer Turus 2 Operations and Training and carried the title HRH Crown Prince of Johor. HRH Tunku aspired to establish a special unit within the Johor Military Forces with skills and expertise in combat and specialized training specifically to protect the Johor Royal Family in times of peace and emergencies. A total of 21 members of the Elite Unit of JMF, including HRH Crown Prince of Johor, underwent specialized commando training at Iskandar Camp, Mersing, for 3 months.
Objectives
- Selecting the best members to join the Elite Unit of the Johor Military Forces.
- Producing members who are steady and authoritative in carrying out the tasks of the Elite Unit of the Johor Military Forces.
- Instilling discipline and identity within and outside of tasks.
- Fostering a spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie among the members of the Elite Unit of the Johor Military Forces.
- Creating a new generation that is of high quality, disciplined, and has a rational mindset.
- Fostering unwavering loyalty to the Sultan and the State of Johor that is undivided.

Goals

- To be a pioneering force towards the modernization of the Elite Unit of the Johor Military Forces.

Special Forces Training Course

Duties of JMF Elite Unit Members
- Ensuring the safety and protection of the Royal Family of Johor from any threats, particularly DYMM Sultan Johor, DYMM Sultanah Johor, DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor, designated Royal Family members with titles, and individuals specified by decree and command.
- Performing duties as escorts for distinguished individuals.
- Performing security duties for official government events involving the departure of the Royal Family of Johor.
- Performing the secret duties of the unit.
- Always ready to be mobilized at any time.
- Performing duties as the Provost of the unit.
- Serving as the eyes and ears of the unit.
